A Saturday staple before browsing Eastern Market.
Le Pain Quotidien’s cream donut is a brioche shell filled with a homemade French cream and dusted with powdered sugar. It’s like a supersized version of Richie’s cream puff from Christmas brunch at the Sacco’s. The lemon tart was very smooth, not too sour, and perfectly sweet.
